Contax T2. I have a T3 and a T2. The T2 is nicer because you have dials for all the controls like under and overexposure. It’s still a p&s, but gives you more control over the results compared to the mju-II or the Yashica T4/T5. I’m such a camera nerd. :(
the most frustrating point of the Mju II is that there is no way for exposure compensation. Furthermore, you cannot put the focus where you want (indepent of exposure).
Thus, go for a camera that let’s you set independently of each other: aperture, time, focus. In other words, go for a full manual camera.
I would recommend to get a Minolta Hi-Matic 7SII.
They go for around 100 EUR on ebay. You don’t need any battery, and the hi-matix is quite compact, and the lense is superb (apparently is is a copy of the Rokkor 40 also used for the Leica CL).
should you have the money: get the best, and get a Leica CL with the 40 and 90mm lense.
